This self-inking date stamp features a durable plastic frame with bands that are changeable and have a date span up to 12 yrs - 10 current yrs. The date height is 3/16" and lasts for thousands of impressions and can easily be re-inked with water-based ink! Not recommended for glossy surfaces as it may smear. Nice little stamp. But, it would be nice if Shiny would put centering arrows to align the stamp for checks, forms, etc. Trodat puts this feature on their date stamps and this is nice. The Shiny stamp is well made, smooth to operate.
